Effect Veiler

Whatever happened to this card?

All the hype around it died so suddenly...

Perhaps the other DREV stuff was just TOO GOOD for Effect Veiler to stand out...

Updates

It's been quite a while since my latest post here, so I apologize for the irrational pace at which I blogged.

Anyways, there are just a few updates that I need to speak of lately.

First off, there will be a bunch of new videos being uploaded on to my Youtube Channel, featuring some new decks.

Yes, I know, it's been a while since I've uploaded a video, but after these videos, expect more from me!

Next thing to talk about are the decks that are coming together as of late right before Shonen Jump New Jersey.

Synchro Cat still looks to be a strong contender. The original Arcanite Beat, and Flamvell builds are being refined for this very tournament.

QuickDraw Plants are getting a lot of hype, and for good reason. The deck is a lot of fun to play, especially with all of the combos the deck can do in one turn. And don't forget about Megatron in this summer! (AKA Junk Destroyer!)

Lightsworn are still doing what they do best: win with Judgement Dragon and Beckoning Light.

Blackwings may be slowed down a touch, but more room for tech could lead to unexpected victories.

Gladiator Beasts sure like to tag a lot. Unfortunately, their sacking power is lacking when compared to the other top tier decks.

Machinas + Gagdets make for a fearsome underdog. Don't underestimate them!

I believe that should be all of the Top Tier decks which should be in contention for topping in SJ NJ!

Lastly, I just wanna talk about my decks for a bit.

Synchro Cat, QuickDraw Plants, and LIGHT Machines.

I've already mentioned the first two, so I'll talk about the latter then:

Jade Knight is really sweet. Really.

I may start attempting to do Deck of the Months, although really, I'd rather post decks which I feel deserve a review and a mention.

I don't like any of that standardized stuff.

Rather long post today.

It should be good though.

Well, until next time.

Cards to Look Into

Mine Mole
Phantom-Horned Beast Phypnocorn
Surging Dragon Knight Dragoequites
Thunder Unicorn
Voltic Bicorn
Lightning Tricorn
Double Cyclone

Big Tornado of the Wastelands

Big Tornado of the Wastelands

Normal Trap Card

Destroy 1 face-up Spell or Trap Card on the field. The controller of the destroyed card can then Set 1 Spell or Trap Card from their hand. If this set card is destroyed, you can destroy 1 face-up card on the field.

This has been a rather overlooked card which will be assessible to everyone when the Yugioh 5D's 2010 Starter Deck come outs.

It has an effect very similar to Dust Tornado, but is more specific in that it can only destroy face-up Spell or Trap cards. However, this will destroy spell or trap cards on EITHER side of the field.

This card's first effect shines strongly when used in conjuction with Geartown. Although this may be the only combo I can think of, Big Tornado of the Wasteland has the extra benefit of destroying only one card at a time.

Since two Dust Tornados in the Side Deck may not be enough S/T destruction, Tornado of the Wasteland adds more destruction.

The main use of this card would probably be in destroying Dimensional Eatos matchups, as Skill Drain, Dimensional Fissure, and Macro Cosmos will leave the field as soon as they're up.

However, I like this card's second effect more than the first one.

When this set card is destroyed, you CAN destroy one face-up monster on the field. This means that this card is very useful in baiting out Heavy Storm, Mystical Space Typhoon, and other forms of S/T destruction from monsters such as Dark Armed Dragon and Arcanite Magician.

You can even destroy your own set Tornado with Heavy Storm, clearing the opponent's backrow as well as one of their monsters.

This card has strong psychological effects on the opponent, so I hope this card will see more playtesting.

That's all for now.

Until the next post.

Thunder King Rai-Oh

Rai-Oh, meaning Thunder King.

This card rips apart Machina so hard.

Except for all the card for card removal, Thunder King stops everything that a Machina Deck can think of utilizing.

The Gadgets, Machina Gearframe, Machina Peacekeeper, stopping the special summon of Machina Fortress.

I'm just saying because it seems that some people aren't aware of this tidbit yet.
